Dear Residents, Message From The Mayor City of Barrie and our community partner, Tim Hortons, are pleased to announce "Barrie, Spring into Clean", the 10th annual community clean-up project. The 'Spring into Clean' partnership project helps residents and businesses to take action and be part of keeping Barrie beautiful all year long. This volunteer based initiative aimed at cleaning up our schools, neighborhoods and parks is an opportunity to work together to beautify our City and provides children with a hands-on learning experience that will foster important habits to carry forward. The City's environmental focus is to ensure healthy directions for our growing community and this type of event provides an opportunity for all of us to reach this goal. Four Ways for you to get involved and help reduce litter in our community Student Participation Day Friday April 27, 2012 The City of Barrie is encouraging all elementary and high school students to take an active role in this community clean-up project by cleaning up their property and adjacent parklands. Community "Spring Into Clean!" Days Saturday April 28 - Sunday April 29, 2012 "Calling all residents!" to clean-up their neighborhood parks and other public spaces. Everybody including Community groups, teams, neighborhood associations, individuals and families are encouraged to participate! In 2011, over 600 residents pitched-in. Corporate Challenge Days April 27, 28 & 29, 2012 Our businesses here in Barrie are being challenged to participate in this community project by registering to clean up a local public space such as a park, ravine or trail.
